The Smega Concept
Welcome to Smega. Our platform is inspired by the idea of a hyper-local "Super Megaphone"—a tool meant to bring the entire community together through real-time, meaningful broadcasts. By using Smega, you agree to use this megaphone responsibly, ensuring that the "broadcast" remains a positive and useful resource for your neighbors.
Acceptable Use
We encourage content that serves the local community interest. This includes:
- Real-time updates about local events (block parties, garage sales, community meetups).
- Live business updates (daily specials, flash sales, new inventory).
- Helpful neighborhood alerts (lost pets, road closures, community assistance needs).
- Authentic feedback and questions about the local area.
Prohibited Conduct
To keep the neighborhood "Smega" clean and effective, the following behaviors are strictly prohibited:
- Spam and Flooding: Do not use the megaphone to broadcast repetitive, non-local, or irrelevant content. One "Smega" should be enough to reach your audience.
- Misleading Information: Posting fake deals, incorrect event times, or false alerts is a violation of our community trust.
- Harassment and Hate Speech: We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for any content that attacks, threatens, or demeans individuals or groups based on their identity.
- Illegal Content: Do not use Smega to promote illegal goods, services, or dangerous activities.
- Global Noise: Smega is for *local* connections. Please avoid posting global memes, political grandstanding, or content that has no relevance to your physical neighborhood.
Business Responsibility
Verified Business Conduct
Businesses on Smega are expected to keep their profiles and broadcasts accurate. If you announce a flash sale or special event, you are responsible for honoring that update for its duration. Frequent deletions of active promotions or "bait and switch" tactics will result in verification removal.
Real-Time Accountability
Our platform uses live updates that may expire. While we provide tools for temporary broadcasts, users are accountable for everything they post, even if it is set to disappear. Smega reserves the right to suspend accounts that repeatedly violate these guidelines, ensuring the map remains a beacon of trust for all users.
